three steps. that's the whole manual.

How it works

  1. Press on the wrap

wrap it round the candle and rub it down. the numbers face out.

  2. Peel a number

lift the piece marked 1. the bare wax underneath is your shape.

  3. Dab the paint

sponge on colour 1, let it dry, peel the next number. repeat until it's done.

…then break the rules.

swap a colour. go off the numbers. it's your candle now.

little reminders

“You don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents.”

Brushible B mark

Why paint a candle?

  • i create.
  • i make mistakes.
  • i make again.
  • i make something mine.

that's the brushible (with an i) way. and the hardest part of all of it is the first mark on a blank anything.

a candle is a tiny canvas that doesn't stay still. the wrap holds the picture for you, so you only have to hold the sponge. somewhere around the fourth piece you stop following and start deciding. that's the good stuff. that's why i make these.
